The Riverwood Forest Retreat – Pench offers visitors an escape into the visually stunning landscape of the Pench National Park. The beauty of this region has been immortalized in Rudyard Kipling’s classic – The Jungle Book. Located near the renowned Pench Tiger Reserve, the retreat opened in 2013. The resort is located on the edge of Pench National Park, a mixed dry deciduous forest comprising a variety of local species of trees, with Pench River meandering through its entire stretch and jungle streams, along with open hilly terrain forming a heart-stopping
The wildlife resort features 21 spacious, accommodation options including 8 Garden view suites, 8 River view suites, 4 premier River view suites and one Tree House. All the rooms have intricate artwork on the walls made by local artisans, have private gardens with shaded sit-outs and huge windows overlooking the garden, forest or the river bed.
The resort organises various excursions like Jeep Safaris, Canter (Open Bus) Safaris, Bird watching Tours, Photography Tours, and Nature Walks that provide guests with an opportunity to see the different animal and bird species living in the forest. They also organise Night Safaris in the nearby Wolf Sanctuary.
River view Suite
The Resort Riverview Suites are very spacious and can easily accommodate 4 people. The rooms are furnished with a king size double bed and a day bed. All the rooms have private gardens with sit-outs and huge windows overlooking the garden, forest or the river bed.
The cottages are equipped with a work area to meet the needs of the modern eco-traveller. The rooms are designed keeping comfort in mind and are furnished with all the amenities that a discerning guest would look for.
Food & Beverages
The Deck, our all-day restaurant, serves authentic Madhya Pradesh cuisine and has an alfresco area with a spectacular view of the non perennial river and buffer forest.
Meals are served in the all-day restaurant where the shaded deck overlooks the beautiful forest and river - Amba-bai, frequented by many wild animals and birds.
