Murchison River Lodge Murchison Falls National Park - Murchison Falls National Park
Murchison River Lodge is situated directly on the southern bank of the River Nile overlooking Uganda’s largest national park, Murchison Falls. From the vantage point of the lodge bar and restaurant you are treated to panoramic views of the park and the infamous River Nile as it flows downstream between papyrus islands and pods of hippos.
Although completely off grid, the concept and design of Murchison River Lodge encourages gentle engagement with nature without compromising on comfort – something we sought from the very beginning. Highlights of the lodge include mid-range accommodation options, attentive staff, swimming pool, pool lounge, home-made meals, wifi area, nature walk, well stocked bar and play areas for children.
Thatched Cottages - Our thatched cottages are open plan with two single beds downstairs and a double bed on a mezzanine floor. The wide veranda overlooks the bush and include a sofa and hammock for you to relax and enjoy the bird life. The cottages are perfect for families (if necessary we can add two extra children’s beds/baby cot) or alternatively a maximum of 4 adults who know each other well.
Thatched Safari Tents - The thatched safari tents are nestled amongst the trees and bush around the lodge grounds. The tents are twin shared - although please enquire at the time of booking if you require a third bed and/or a baby cot – and have their own porch with a table and chair set.
River Tents - The view from our twin shared river tents is what sets them apart from the rest - they are located close to the River Nile in a beautiful setting with their own private porch area.
