Perched on one of the highest ranges of Muthuvankudi, Kites is secreted away at the end of an off road in a private land on a cliff overlooking the mountain ranges of Thekkady, Neriyamangalam and Munnar summing up the major chunk of Western Ghats.
Kites has luxurious individual suites on multi-levels with private terrace and baths that oozes richness. Every suite has a one sided glass wall allowing you to take in the majestic view while cozying up in bed or under the warm shower.
The unique landscape, changing chameleon-like from blue to green to gold is wild and provokes curiosity. The gorgeous view of both sunrise and sunset from Kites translates you to a myriad of hues of blues, greens and gold. To some the colours are psychedelic, to some they are spellbinding.
The central dining room, adjoining the lobby is airy and glass-walled. Food is freshly prepared, and delicious. The menu is set to retain the character of high range cuisine. All the food is sourced locally and there’s always a vegetarian option.There are two in-house kitchens, one with all modern amenities and set up and the second kitchen is an ingenious kitchen with wood and coal burners. So that the flavour, texture and originality of regional dishes can be retained.
